irector at Large: Ongoing, starting now. We are looking for someone to join our board until our AGM at the end of October (with the option to stand for election for the following year).
When: Ongoing, 2-4 hours per week. Ideally the new board member will start as soon as possible and stay on until our AGM at the end of October, when all board positions are up for election.
Who: This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn more about Nature Squamish in a hands-on way and actively contribute to running the Society.
What: This is a ‘working board’ position and the Director will be expected to take on tasks suited to their skills and experience. The board meets in person, on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the evening. Between meetings, Directors oversee and contribute to their portfolio, with an average workload of 2-4 hours per week. Some current needs include: administrative support, volunteer coordination, and fundraising.
Where: Board meetings take place in Squamish and attendance in person is preferred. Hybrid meetings are possible when required.
